Signings

Three Richmond Hill High School athletes signed letters of intent on Wednesday at the school as part of National Signing Day, part two.

Kollins Pettaway, a slotback, signed with Tusculum University and cornerback Ronald Fuselier signed with Savannah State.

Soccer player Bryan Jackson signed with Mercer.

It’s been a busy time at RHHS, softball player Maggie Hunter signed to play softball at the University of South Carolina- Sumter and Kyra Byrd signed with Reinhardt University in girl’s lacrosse.

During early National Signing Day in January, Richmond Hill’s Aaron Bedgood inked with Coastal Carolina, Lachlan Holt with West Point and Matt Daniel with West Virginia.

Hoops:

Bryan County High School’s No. 3 ranked Lady Redskins will open the Region 2-AA tournament on the road but with a bye.

Bryan County (24-1, 15-1) in Region, is top seed in the region tournament,which got underway Tuesday in Vidalia. The Lady Redskins will play at 7 p.m. Friday against either No. 4 seed Vidalia, Jeff Davis or Metter.

In the Region 2-AAAAAA basketball tournament, Richmond Hill High School’s boys ( 15-10, 5-3) faced Bradwell in the semifinals on Wednesday in Brunswick.

The Wildcats are the No. 2 seed in the region Bradwell is No. 1.

The Lady Wildcats, took on top seeded-Glynn Academy in a tournament game. Richmond Hill (18-8, 2-7), is the No. 4 seed from 2-AAAAAAA.
