Both the Richmond Hill High School boys and girls soccer teams both picked up wins Tuesday in the first round of the region playoffs.

The boys team defeated third seed Lakeside Evans 3-0 at home in the first round of the region playoffs. The team is scheduled to play Greenbriar, though no date is available yet.

On the road, the girls team also picked up a win defeating Evans 5-2. The girls play again Friday in the semi-final round of the region playoffs at home against Lakeside Evans.

According to head coach Steve Kollman, the win marks the 13th year the girls team has qualified for the state tournament.
