Former Richmond Hill High School standout quarterback Nick Fitzgerald, who spent time on the practice squad with the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has reportedly signed with the St. Louis BattleHawks of the XFL.
The BattleHawks made the announcement on Twitter Saturday, welcoming Fitzgerald to the team.
Fitzgerald played collegiate ball with Mississippi State, where he set several team records. He was a walk-on signing with the Bucs last year, but was recently cut from the team.
The XFL team's first game is on Feb. 9.
