The Richmond Hill volleyball team is now 6-6 after dropping two home matches Tuesday night to Savannah Country Day and St. Vincent’s Academy.

The Wildcats fell to SCD 20-25, 15-15. Vanessa Malave had three aces and Mackenzie Petermann had four kills.

“This is the first of four matches we are scheduled to play against Savannah Country Day this season,” Wildcats Coach Taisa Tremble said. “I’m excited to watch these two teams play throughout the season, as both are very talented.”

The teams face off again Aug. 24 in Savannah.

Richmond Hill then fell to St. Vincent’s 22-25, 27-25, 21-25. Petermann tallied eight kills while Malave had seven. SeKala Goodwin added three blocks and Audrey Blashke added eight assists.

“Unfortunately, we were unable to stay ahead in the third set,” Tremble said. “We have a few defensive things to tighten up on our end, but our girls are focused and ready to attack our next matches.”

Richmond Hill hosts Islands and Savannah Christian today starting at 5 p.m.
