Wildcat thinclads fare well at Camden meet

Richmond Hill High School's boys and girls track teams finished second and third, respectively, at a meet Thursday at Camden County High School in Kingsland.
The girls finished second with 77 team points.
Top finishers included Arisa Spill, who took first in the 800-meter run and Kaylee Lawless, who placed second in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles.
Spill turned in a time of 2 minutes, 52.3 seconds in the 800; Lawless had a time of 59.99 seconds.
In addition, the Lady Wildcats 4x400 relay team of Brandy Franklin, Spill, Lawless and Jordan Shonka placed second with a time of 4:58.80.
In field events, Keeara Jackson's throw of 28 feet, 7 inches earned her first place in the shot put competition. Rachel Scott took second in the discus with a throw of 66-2. Jade Parson placed second in the long jump with a distance of 13-2.
In the boy's meet, defending state 800-meter champ Shaquille Walker took first with a time of 1:58.33 while Daniel Smith and Clint Martin placed first and second in the 3.200-meter race. Smith turned in a time of 11:47.2 and Martin was less than a second behind at 11:48.0.
The boy's 4x400 team of Marcus Morris, Walker, Tradd Stephens and Beau Baker finished second with a time of 3:38.85.
