The Region 2-AAAAAA team that Coach Jeff Graham thought would give his Richmond Hill tennis teams the most trouble this year did just that Thursday.

Glynn Academy beat the Wildcats at Henderson Park, handing each team their first region loss. The girls, now 8-3 overall and 3-1 in the region, fell 5-0. The boys, also 8-3, 3-1, fell 3-2 to the Red Terrors.

Freshman Jackson Martin remained undefeated at 10-0 with a three-set win. Alex Shermer also picked up a three-set win against Glynn Academy.

The Wildcats are at Jessup and at Benedictine/St. Vincent’s Academy Thursday, then host the region tournament starting at 10 a.m. April 10 at Henderson Park.
