The Richmond Hill High School competition cheerleading squad will compete in the state Class AAAA finals beginning Friday in Columbus. The team placed fourth at the Region 2-AAAA tournament. Team members are co-captain Marrissa Foy, co-captain Tiara Jones, Joanna Bayens, Taylor Brantley, Brittney Carroll, Brooke Cowart, Sutton Garrett, Sarah Godfrey, Katie Hilliary, Justine Kaasch, Jen Netherly, Jordan Real, Allison Sheppard, Jennifer Sheppard, Fairley Smith and Tyler Taufer. Teresa Cowart, the team's booster club treasurer, said the cheerleaders have represented Richmond Hill well and are the epitome of good sportsmanship and grace. "Some of these girls have know each other and competed together before and some just met this year," she said. "They are a very diversified group of girls but what they all have in common is the same heart, the same drive, the same dedication to their sport and the same desire to be the best." Stay tuned.
