Local athletes Hannah Smith-Sevick, 14, and Nathan Dunn, 17, earned silver medals in bowling at the Winter Games held in Marietta last weekend.

Their team name, the Richmond Hill SNAPpers, represents their home town as well as South Bryan County’s Special Needs Athletic Program (SNAP). For competition, Special Olympics Georgia (SOGA) officials pair up individuals with equal capabilities as much as possible. In bowling, competitors bowl three games and the cumulative score is used for medal placement.

This was the first time for Smith-Sevick and Dunn participating in the bowling event.
