Richmond Hill takes doubleheader

The Richmond Hill baseball team improved to 10-6 on the season after sweeping a doubleheader Tuesday at Bradwell Institute 15-2 and 18-1.

Parker Boyle and Brennan Jamar each collected two RBIs in the first game, while Kyle Luigs struck out four batters.

Boyle picked up the win in game 2, striking out seven, while Grayson Cowan had four RBIs and Zach Haines collected four hits.

The Wildcats lost 10-3 to South Effingham on March 23. They were scheduled to host Bradwell on Wednesday. Results were not available at press time.

Bryan County

The Redskins defeated Johnson County 27-0 on March 23 and Vidalia 4-3 on March 24 to improve to 11-5 on the season. Statistics were not available.

BCHS’s home game Tuesday against Bacon County was postponed because of field conditions. The Redskins play at Benedictine at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
