The Richmond Hill girls’ soccer team is returning to the Elite 8 for the fourth time in five years after Wednesday night’s 1-0 victory over host Dunwoody.

Samantha Howley scored on an assist from Sabria Marquez and Cera Schulke made six saves in goal. Dunwoody was the No. 1 ranked team from Region 6-AAAAA. Richmond Hill is the No. 3 team from Region 3-AAAAA.

“This year’s team has faced a ton of adversity from the start of practice in January,” Coach Steve Kollman said. “But they are a resilient bunch who have molded themselves into a coachable group with a desire to win no matter what it takes.”

The Wildcats, 13-4-2, face Columbus, the No. 1 ranked team in Region 1-AAAAA at 6 p.m. Saturday at Kinnett Stadium in Columbus.
