Thursday was a good day for Richmond Hill High School’s baseball and girls’ soccer teams.

The Lady Wildcats ((16-0) beat Camden County 6-4 in the second round of the 3-AAAAA soccer tournament to advance to the region championship.

The Lady Wildcats received three goals from Nia Gordon, two from Grace Kiser and one from Ruthie Riley in the win. Gordon (2) and Kiser (1) had assists, and keeper Maria Cuevas finished with five stops for RHHS, which will play in the title game either Monday or Tuesday.

The Lady Wildcats, ranked No. 9 in Class AAAAA, have already qualified for the 3-AAAAA tournament.

The baseball Wildcats (18-5), ranked No. 10 in AAAAA by the AJC, swept Glynn Academy in a doubleheader Thursday to claim the best-of-three series, earn a spot to the state tournament and advance to the region semifinals.

The Wildcats won 6-1 and 11 to eliminate the Red Terrors. No individual stats were available.
