Warner Robins American and Columbus Northern will meet Friday in Richmond Hill to decide which team will win the 2012 Georgia Little League state champoinship for 10/11 year olds.

The teams advanced to the championship game by winning Thursday. Warner Robins held off a game Athens' club 13-6 in the first game of a doubleheader, then Columbus Northern withstood a furious comeback bid by Martinez Evans to win 9-6.

This is the second time Columbus Northern and Warner Robins have faced each other in the state championship tournament, which began Saturday in Richmond Hill.

Columbus won the first meeting 1-0 on Sunday.

The championship game gets under way at 10 a.m.
