Lady Wildcats move up to No. 9

The Richmond Hill High School girls' basketball team is moving on up in the Class AAAA girls' basketball rankings.
The Lady Wildcats (22-1. 9-0) are up to No. 9 in the most recent PrepCountry.com coaches poll, relaased Tuesday.
"We are very honored to be ranked," said RHHS coach Elizabeth Bennett, whose team played host to Brunswick on Tuesday night in the regular season finale. "We have senior leadership that has made this possible. My seniors know what we as coaches want and expect on and off the court and they have instilled it in the younger girls."
Bennett said everyone has learned what part they play on the team, and that includes coaches.
"We have embraced the concept of roles and we each, including coaches, fulfill our roles daily and with this we have been able to win 21 games," she said.
The Lady Wildcats have already clinched the No. 1 seed from Region 2A-AAAA heaading into next week's region tournament.
