Richmond Hill High School upset No. 6-ranked Glynn Academy 2-0 in a Region 2A-AAAA soccer showdown Friday night at Wildcat Field.
Tina Shwari and Lindsey Vasher had goals for the Lady Wildcats, who improved to 10-1 overall and 7-1 in the region while handing the Red Terrors (12-1, 7-1) their first loss of the season.
Vasher and Julia Marcotte recorded assists.
Defensively, keeper Lauren Chesney had five saves as Richmond Hill shut out a team that had outscored opponents 85-8 heading into Friday's match.
Glynn Academy won the first matchup between the two teams 2-1 in Brunswick. The two teams will share the subregion championship.
In the boys' match, Richmond Hill lost 4-1 to fall to 8-4 overall and 5-3 in the region.
