Former Bryan County High School standout Tiffany Howard was named to the 2013 freshman All-SEC team, the conference announced recently.

Howard, a four-sport star at BCHS, batted .310 with 10 RBIs for the Lady Tigers in her first season in the Southeastern Conference. She hit .396 and scored 13 runs in the team’s last 19 games.

"She got off to a slow start like a lot of freshmen do, but she really began to figure things out and became acclimated to the SEC and it really showed. She did a good job at the bottom of the order, and the later at the top of the order, getting on base and then stealing bases."
