Richmond Hill running company Georgia Game Changers is partnering with Jalapenos Mexican Restaurant this Monday, May 5for their Cinco de Mayo celebration. Game Changers will host a Free Running Clinic and a 2 mile neighborhood walk/run that will start and end at Jalapenos' plaza. The Run Clinic will start at 6 p.m.

CEO Sandra Elliott says the store will also have a TENT sale with multiple specials on their shoes, clothing, and fitness accessories.  "Some specials have already started in anticipation of the event," says Elliott.

A representative from Merrell, one of the shoes that Elliott carries in her store, will be on hand with a demo bag full of Merrell shoes that participants can try on and wear on the 2 mile run.  Chris Pankow, the Merrell representative will also have special gifts for those that attend the event.

"Game Changers Running Company is always looking to provide a chance for the community to connect fitness and fun," said Elliott. "Jalapenos restaurant is a loyal sponsor of our local  races, and this is a special celebration not only for the Mexican Americans in the area, but also for our community."

One of the servers at Jalapeno's echoes this sentiment. Owen Fields, an employee of the restaurant for the past three years said, "I am looking forward to seeing the excitement in people's faces as we celebrate this joyous holiday with our amazing specials." 

Callie Harvey, an Game Changers employee,  added, "We believe in keeping things local and enjoy the opportunity to have an event connected to our friends at Jalapenos."  She continued, "Our store loves that we can hold a fitness event and a special sale, and then dine at Jalapenos with our local runners and walkers."

Elliott has a surprise as well for local runners and walkers.  The store will offer a special $5.00 discount for those who sign up on Cinco de Mayo, to participate in their summer race they will direct on Saturday, July 26th,  The Red Hot Chili Pepper 5K..
