Elliott finishes first in the XC Kickoff Classic

Richmond Hill High School sophomore Amanda Elliott finished first in the XC Kickoff Classic on Saturday at Daffin Park.

Elliott, a sophomore, finished the 5K course in 21 minutes and 22 seconds to pace the Lady Wildcats, who placed fourth out of 13 teams.

Also recording top finishes for the girls were Moe Stubblefield and Shanee McKee. Stubblefield ran the course in 23:18 to claim 15th place while McKee came in 17th with a time of 23:27.

Chloe Giorgianni and Taylor Carpenter rounded out the top five finishers for the girls.

The Wildcats finished eighth on the boys side. Michael Kelly led the Wildcats with a time of 19:12 to place 29th overall. Not far behind was Jameson Cunningham, whose time of 19:18 was good enough for 33rd overall.

Andy Balas, Clint Martin and Tanner Hicks also scored for the Wildcats. Balas placed 61st with a time of 20:08, Martin was 65th with a time of 20:21 and Hicks ran the course in 20:28 to place 68th.
