Satashala Beasley poured in 32 points, grabbed 16 rebounds and blocked three shots to lead Bryan County to a 67-48 win over Metter on Tuesday.
The Redskins also got 17 points and four steals from Diamond Mcgirt and 12 points, five assists and five steals from Tiffany Howard while improving to 3-1 in Region 3A-A and 12-3 overall.
"We were able to get off to a good start in this game," BCHS girls' coach Mario Mincey said. "We were able to play some younger players in the second half to get them some valuable experience."
Rita Ivey added five points and Ayanna Harvey one point for Bryan County.
In the boys' game, Cameron Register was the only Redskin in double figures as Bryan County fell 72-47 to the Tigers.
Register, whose name isn't even on the team's roster at PrepCountry.com, finished with 19 points. What's more, his play has impressed his coach.
"Cameron Register is improving each and every ball game," BCHS boys' coach Allen Clark said. "He has never played organized basketball so he has had to learn a great deal, especially on the defensive end. He has gotten better defensively and he has a great jump shot. I think had he played all four years he would really be a good player."
Jaylan Rawls added eight points, Akaya Johnson chipped in seven and Kajana Dixon had five for Bryan County, which fell to 3-12 overall and 1-3 in the subregion.
