The Richmond Hill and Bryan County softball teams both placed multiple players on their respective all-region teams.

For the Wildcats Alaina Lucas, Madelyn Gorsuch, Cheznie Schuman and Adriana Garrett were named first-team in Region 2-AAAAAA. Hannah Fitzgerald, Haley Taylor, Brianna Harrison and Katie Snyder were named to the second team.

Gorsuch and Garrett are expected to sign letters of intent later this week to play at the University of West Georgia and Charleston Southern, respectively.

Richmond Hill finished the 2017 season at 15-13 overall, dropping a double-header to Houston County in the first round of the state tournament.

For the Redskins, Shelby Barfield and Brooklyn Hewitt were named first-team in Region 2-AA, with Hannah Dickerson making the second team.

Barfield has committed to play at Georgia Southern.

Bryan County ended the season at 15-11 overall.
