No. 7-ranked Bryan County High School fell 6-0 to No. 1 Gordon Lee in the opening round of the Class A Elite Eight in Columbus earlier today. 

The Lady Redskins (28-8) play again Friday at 9 a.m. in the double elimination tournament against the loser of a contest between Johnson County and Prince Avenue Christian.

Bryan County is bidding for its first state fast-pitch softball championship. The school has three slow-pitch titles, the last coming in 2001. This is the Lady Redskins' third trip to the Elite Eight in the last four years.
