With the spring season finally here Hendrix Park kicked off their 2008 baseball, softball and t-ball seasons last Friday and Saturday with non-stop action during the annual Ball-A-Rama.

Taking full advantage of the warm, sunny weather all park teams from t-ball through twelve and under played a game during the 48 hour Rama. All of the Rama games were considered pre-season play. In Friday night’s action the ten and under teams squared off as did the twelve & under teams. Saturday morning’s action kicked off with a parade led by the Bryan County Fire Department and all of the t-ball and 8 and under teams.

By 10 a.m. the t-ball games were in full swing as the four through six year olds had a blast smacking the ball and running the bases. Later in the afternoon the eight and under boys and girls teams hit the diamond for their round of games.

"All the kids had a blast and are learning so much," said Eddie Perry, the park board member in charge of t-ball. "The Rama is great for all ages to open the ball season and get warmed up."

All Hendrix Park league play began on Tuesday night. For more information or for team schedules call 858-4640.
