Wildcats pick up another game, open season Sept. 4 at Camden County

Defending 2-AAAAAA champ and Class AAAAAA Final Four participant Richmond Hill High School kicked off the pandemic altered 2020 football season with an intrasquad Black and Gold scrimmage on Friday night at Wildcats Stadium in front of 1,000 fans. 

Defense dominated in the 13-5 win by the Black team, and the kicking of pre-season all-stater Britton Williams was a highlight.

Kicking for both teams, Williams had field goals of 59, 52 and 32 yards while missing from 58 and 37 yards. His 58-yard attempt was on the mark but it hit the crossbar. His 59-yarder cleared with room to spare. 

RHHS Coach Matt LeZotte played 130 players with the only touchdown of the game coming on a 36-yard run by freshman running back Raahman Moore.

The Wildcats announced Monday the regular season got bumped up a week, with the addition of Class AAAAAA Camden County. The Wildcats will play in Kingsland on Sept. 4.
