The Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets scored on their first play from scrimmage and went on to defeat Bryan County 35-21 Friday in Brooklet.
Bryan County’s Dominique Mock scored on two of the three times he ran the ball, finishing with a team-high 82 yards. Mock scored the Redskins’ first touchdown on a 13-yard run in the third quarter and added a 61-yard score in the fourth quarter to pull BCHS within 28-14.
Kimonti Murray ran for a 37-yard touchdown later in the fourth quarter for the Redskins, who fell to 0-3 on the season.
BCHS quarterback Gage Hagan completed 4 of 7 passes for 46 yards. Willie Lavant was the Redskins’ leading receiver with two catches for 25 yards.
Bryan County will play at Groves next Friday at 7:30 p.m.
