Area Football in Review: Week 3
Richmond Hill football

It was a tough week for football teams in Bryan County on Friday.

The Richmond Hill Wildcats went to Waynesboro to face off against Burke County, falling 27-26 to the Bears.

The Wildcats did not hold a lead over the Wildcats until the third quarter, pulling ahead 20-14 after a Zion Gilliard touchdown heading into the fourth quarter.

But the Bears would take the lead back with 10 minutes left in the game.

The Wildcats secured the lead following a 73-yard touchdown pass from Ty Goldrick to Nick Bliss with six minutes left.

When the Bears got the ball, they scored on a nine-yard rush that would give them the final lead, clinching the victory and sending the Wildcats back to Richmond Hill with an 0-2 record.
