Area Football in Review: Week 2
BCFB RB Austin Clemens

Teams in the Bryan County area went 0-1 in Week 2 football as the Bryan County Redskins were the only team in action.

The Richmond Hill Wildcats were inactive on Friday, being on their bye week.

After winning their first game in three years in Week 1, the Redskins could not repeat their fortunes in their second contest of the season on Friday.

They traveled to Lincolnton to square off against Lincoln County, the alma mater of their Head Coach Cherard Freeman as he was a two-time state champion as the Red Devils’ running back in the 90's.

The Redskins were shutout 22-0 by the Red Devils and put away by their opponent’s rushing attack.

They would allow 338 rushing yards by the Red Devils, who passed the ball only seven times for 57 yards and a touchdown.

The Redskins are now 1-1 on the season.
