The 39th annual Robert Sapp Baseball Camp is accepting applications for the summer session to be held at Richmond Hill Park, July 8-12.

Camps are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and are for boys ages 7-14.

Six year-olds may attend if they are skilled enough to play with the seven-year-olds.

The fee is $135 with team rates available ($10 discount for five or more players from one spring/summer league team or travel team).

Former Middle Georgia College and University of Georgia head baseball coach Robert Sapp will direct the camps. Sapp has directed numerous camps for the past 38 years throughout the state. Over 100 of his former players have signed professional contracts, and 21 have played in the Major League. Adam Wainwright of the St. Louis Cardinals and former Atlanta Brave Jeff Francoeur attended the camp as youngsters.

Sapp's college coaching record was 915-210.

High school coaches from the state and former and present college players will also make up the staff. No high school players will be on staff.

The camp will feature fundamentals, game competition, videos, motivational and instructional lectures and demonstrations.
