Editor, The Richmond Hill Garden Club would like to thank the community for its wonderful support of our 13th-year Pumpkin Patch.
It was a great success. We sold 500 pumpkins, 100 mums and many bales of hay. The children had fun playing the bean bag, fish pond and ring toss. It is great to see the little ones pick out “their pumpkins.”
The Patch is the main and only fundraiser for the many projects the garden club supports. The club has acquired a new project this coming year. In addition to gardens at Henderson Park, the library and the Bryan County Rehab Center, the club will work to beautify the areas around the Richmond Hill city signage on Highway 17, both north and south.
The Garden Club extends a special thanks to park manager Harvey Lashley and his crew for helping make the Patch happen.
Once again, many thanks for the great support, and see you next year.
