Practice makes perfect for bus routes

Editor, For anyone who notices school buses driving throughout Bryan County in the next few days, school did not start a week early. The bus drivers are doing practice runs in preparation for the start of the school year on Friday. With the opening of the new Richmond Hill Middle, dedicated school routes were necessary to provide bus service to both the middle and high school with a start time of 7:40a.m.

Since all South Bryan bus routes had to be redeveloped, bus drivers were asked to go through their bus routes so they become familiar with them and make any minor changes necessary. We believe these practice runs will help things go more smoothly on the first day when our drivers know what to expect.

All South Bryan bus routes are available on the district website at www.bryan.k12.ga.us, or you can pick up a copy at any school office in Richmond Hill. Additionally, students who attended last school year will receive a copy via U.S. mail. You can reach our Transportation Department at 626-5017 in Pembroke or 459-5170 in Richmond Hill.
