Festival was a success

Dear Editor: Our inaugural 2010 Fort McAllister Labor Day Weekend Blues & Barbeque Festival was a stunning SUCCESS! It was great to see so many families attend and have a great time. We’d like to thank our supporters, all attendees and especially those who volunteered to make the festival such a big hit. It was certainly a perfect festival for the entire family. Red neck golf, corn hole toss, bocce ball, dunking booths and let’s not forget the infamous “grease pole challenge” were some of the good old fashioned family games played at the Festival. Great live music was performed throughout the evening by “The Fundamentals”. Succulent barbecue plates and hotdogs were prepared and served by the local Grillzilla. To conclude the evening, a spectacular fireworks extravaganza was displayed.
We would like to extend a “special thanks” to our sponsors and all that attended the Festival. Your generous donations and attendance made the Fort McAllister Labor Day Weekend Blues & Barbeque Festival a huge SUCCESS. And last but certainly not least, it’s unbelievable how much work goes into having such an event; thanks to all our volunteers and the Richmond Hill High School Interact Club—without you, none of this would be possible. Great job everyone - please mark your calendar for next year’s event.
