Letter to the editor: Candidate denied access by GOP
Letter to the Editor generic

Editor:

Our founding fathers gave us a GREAT form of government that has been emulated by many other countries.

Unfortunately, beginning with Cain and Abel whenever humans are involved, ugliness always seems to worm itself in.

Never is this more evident than every 2 years when we hold our elections. Greed, power, and control drive this ugliness that has invaded our Republic. Decades ago was my 1st introduction to this phenomenon while sitting in a darkened movie theatre holding the hand of my childhood sweetheart watching the now relevant film, “Mr Smith Goes to Washington” starring Jimmy Stewart..

I recently watched it again on one of those streaming programs Amazon, Netflix, or one of the others, and it’s as blatantly relevant today as when it 1st aired. if you get a chance watch it, you’ll be both entertained and enlightened.

I say relevant as I recall the events of the last Presidential Primaries when Hill vs Bern was the hot race to watch. According to since written books (I read Donna Brazille’s account), Hill and the DNC colluded to ensure a rock solid 2nd place for Bern.

Now, according to an article in American Military News, the RNC and Ga Republican Party want to join history in ugly games https:// americanmilitarynews. com/2020/04/gop-strips-voter- data-access-from-combat- vet-congressional-candidate- danny-merritt/ .

It seems the “R”s are denying access to previously freely given voter data to Congressional Candidate Veteran Danny Merritt’s campaign. “…The action has never happened before, Georgia GOP Chairman David Shafer said in text messages…”.

Now the RNC and Ga Republican Party have gone to the dark ugly side to ensure Buddy Carter a win instead of a place?

Best for all to remember – GOD don’t like ugly.
