This morning I noticed the beauty of the flowering azaleas. They are one of my favorite flowering bushes.
My favorite place to admire their beauty is at Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah where they grow in abundance. The only problem with them is that they only bloom for a short while and then they are gone till next spring.
This is true with most of the flowers we enjoy.
I am so happy that there are some things that continue to last, 365 days a year and 24 hours of every day. One of the few things is the word of God.
1 Peter 1:25 puts it this way, “For the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord stands forever.”
This is true because the word comes from the very breath of God, who himself is faithful, trustworthy and dependable.
So no matter what problems you have or no matter what you are going through, if you are his child, he will be there for you and his word will guide you.
