God’s faithfulness in ‘21
pastor corner

This past year has had it’s challenges, mostly brought about by the Corona Virus, but other things as well, like natural disasters. This past year has also had it’s share of blessings. To the believer in Jesus, God has been faithful in keeping His promises. Jeremiah, the writer of Lamentations, reminds us that God is faithful in providing us mercy each and every day. Sending Jesus as our Savior is the result of God showing His mercy to us. By the way, there is nothing we need more than His mercy.

Another truth is that our God doesn’t change His mind concerning His promises. James 1:17 tells us that He “does not change like shifting shadows”. This means that the same God who has been faithful in 2020 is the same God who will be faithful in 2021. There is a lot of uncertainty as to what will happen in this next year but again, one thing we can count on is that our God will be there for us. Paul reminds us in the book of Romans, “If God be for us, who can be against us?”

This same God desires to have a relationship with each and every person. He is reaching out with His mercy, grace, forgiveness, and love, all made possible by accepting Jesus.

He will be faithful to all who put their trust in Him. He will not force His way into the life of anyone, so the choice is ours.

2021 will be a great year because our God is in control and will remain faithful.
