Fort McAllister State Historic Park is hosting a Memorial Day commemoration on Saturday, May 24 to pay tribute to patriots who died while serving in the U.S. military.
Living history interpretations will take place throughout the day including musket and cannon firings. Rangers will hold a ceremonial flag folding in honor of those who gave their lives in service to our country.
Visitors can tour the fort, museum, and grounds of Fort McAllister along the banks of the Ogeechee River.
The event will conclude with a special ticketed guided tour at 2 p.m., giving visitors a chance to learn more about the history of Fort McAllister.
Regular admission prices range from $5.50 to $9.75.
A Georgia State ParkPass is not required with paid admission.

A special guided tour will be offered at 2 p.m.
