Don’t let time waste away
pastor corner

I was just in my office noticing a clock on the wall. It can tell me the time of day it is. It also reminds me that time truly is ticking away.

One thing we can’t do is to recapture lost time – we can only do our best with what time we have left on this earth.

Another truth is that we don’t know how much time we have left in this life. So a key question here is, what will you do with the time you have left?

If you are not a follower of Jesus Christ, then what you plan to do will be different from someone who is. For the believer, our time should be spent in trying to live out God’s plan for our lives and influencing others to choose to be a Christian.

We should want to love our family, our community and our God. We should want to live a life that brings honor and praise to the God of the universe. ‘ For the unbeliever, today is the day that you should choose to take a different course and to have a different plan. The Lord is ready and willing to forgive you and to allow you to become his child.

Today, he is wanting to come into your life and change you, give you real peace and eternal life. In 2 Corinthians 6:2, we are reminded that, “now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.”

We do have the freedom to choose what we will do with what time we have left, and we do have the freedom of what we will do with Jesus Christ. We don’t always have the freedom to choose how much time we have left. What will you do with the time God has given you today?
