Clock ticking on a changed life
pastor corner

Have you ever been somewhere in the quietness and heard the ticking of a watch or clock?

The truth of the matter is, time is truly ticking away. With every tick it means we have one less tick to do what we would like to do with our lives – literally we have one less tick to live.

Time is important. Each one of us has one life to live and hopefully make a difference in our world.

The only way to make a difference in other’s lives that has eternal consequences is for us to know God and to live out his will.

It is using the gifts that God has given us which will lead to others finding God and becoming all that they can become in this life.

The scriptures teach that the only way to find God is by inviting Jesus Christ his Son into our lives. Jesus himself testified in scripture that no one can get to God the Father accept through him.

So for we who are followers of Jesus, there is only so much time we have left in order to share the good news of Jesus.

James 4:14 says, “you do not know what tomorrow may bring.” He goes on to say that we are like “a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.”

And for those who are not followers of Jesus, you do not have a guarantee you will have an opportunity in the future to do so.

2 Corinthians 6:2 reminds us that “now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.”

With every tick is another period of time you live in bondage to sin and another period of time you have missed out on living a changed life.
