Editor, I read with interest your article recently honoring firefighter/paramedic Danny Dixon. I encountered Mr. Dixon for the very first time just a few weeks ago. A parishioner at St. Anne Catholic Church became ill during Mass, and we had to call 911.
Mr. Dixon was one of the paramedics that came to her aid, and I was very impressed at not only his expertise, but at his compassion and genuine caring spirit for one of our senior citizens.
Bryan County Emergency Services definitely got it right when they awarded Mr. Dixon Employee of the Quarter for 2014.
