ATLANTA — Gov. Nathan Deal's inaugural celebration was cut short in January, scuttled by a snow and ice storm that paralyzed metro Atlanta.
Deal has now rescheduled the gala for May 2 at the Cobb Galleria. It will be free for those who want to attend.
Deal's inaugural committee raised money for the party to celebrate the historic Republican sweep of every statewide constitutional office in last November's election. The gala was supposed to take place Jan. 10, the day Deal was inaugurated.
A spokesman for Deal said the donors and total raised would be revealed after the event.
