Around 2,600 Georgia Power customers in Richmond Hill are still in the dark after a squirrel caused an outage earlier this morning.
Brian Green, a media specialist for Georgia Power, said power should be restored across the city by around 1 p.m.
Power was originally reported to come back on around 10:30 a.m. and then around noon.
"But the problem was much worse than they originally thought, and they're actually having to going into the substation to do work," Green said.
He said a squirrel apparently got into the substation this morning, which caused a blackout around 8:30 a.m. for about 3,700 customers.
