Road work continues on area interstates

Georgia Department of Transportation continues to improve highway infrastructure throughout Southeast Georgia. As a result, work on construction and maintenance projects in Bryan, Liberty and Chatham counties will continue through Friday.

All work subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are cautioned to reduce their speed while traveling through work zones, pay attention and watch for workers.

Lane closures by county are scheduled as follows:

 

Bryan and Liberty counties:

Along I-95 between milepost 66 to 86 there will be nightly double lane closures for paving operations from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. through Friday.

 

Chatham County:

I-16 will have nightly lane closures for concrete repairs from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Monday, Aug. 6.
