Crime-Scene-Tape

A fugitive wanted on 10 counts of attempted murder in South Carolina was arrested in McIntosh County after marshals from the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force followed a car in which he was a passenger at a safe distance through Bryan and Liberty counties.

According to Stewart Cottingham of the task force, the incident came to an end when authorities conducted a high-risk felony stop near exit 67 on Interstate 95.

Jonathan Robert Green, 30, is wanted in Orangeburg, South Carolina, on 10 counts of attempted murder for reportedly firing at a home that had
10 people inside Dec. 12. He was arrested without incident shortly after noon Thursday.

Cottingham said there were two other people in the vehicle at the time. A female was questioned and released, and a male was held for suspicion of having narcotics.

The McIntosh County Sheriff’s Office and Darien Police Department took part in closing I-95 and apprehending Green.

No weapons were found in the vehicle, Cottingham said.
