Public drunkenness
Jan. 6 –
A Richmond Hill man was arrested around 2 a.m. outside apartments on Harris Trail Road and charged with public drunkenness. The man was knocking loudly on a resident’s door when police arrived. He told police that his wife was inside the apartment with her boyfriend. The man smelled of alcohol and agreed to a breath test.
Jan. 8 – A Midway man was arrested around 3:15 a.m. at a home on Egret Circle and charged with public drunkenness. The resident of the home called police after the man tried to come into the house thinking it was his. The man also told police that he lived at the home on Egret Circle. The man was unsteady on his feet, smelled of alcohol and police noticed that he had urinated himself. The man agreed to a breath test, which was positive for alcohol.  

Possession of marijuana
Jan. 6 –
A Richmond Hill man was arrested around 10:40 p.m. on Hwy. 17, near I-95, and charged with possession of marijuana and driving with a suspended or revoked license. The man was pulled over for speeding. He told officers that he did not have a valid driver’s license and had marijuana in his jacket pocket.
Jan. 7 – A Richmond Hill man was arrested around 12:25 a.m. on Piercefield Drive and charged with possession of marijuana. The man was a passenger in a car that was pulled over for several traffic violations. The man appeared very nervous and police saw several “small clumps” of marijuana on the floorboards near him. The man smelled like marijuana. He also had an active probation violation warrant for a previous drug conviction.

DUI
Jan. 8 –
A Savannah woman was arrested around 3:35 a.m. on Hwy. 17, near Mulberry Drive, and charged with DUI. The woman was pulled over for speeding.   
Jan. 8 – A Savannah woman was arrested around 2:40 a.m. on Harris Trail Road, near Hwy. 17, and charged with DUI. The woman was pulled over after officers saw her facing west in the eastbound side of Harris Trail Road, waiting for a stop light to turn green.
