The Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating the death of an Ellabell teen who was reportedly hit by a pickup Friday while walking on Eldora Road, the GSP said Tuesday.
Attempts to reach SCRT investigators by presstime were unsuccessful.
According to reports, the Georgia State Patrol said the boy, 16, was walking with another teen when a pickup swerved onto the grass, hitting and killing him.
The GSP said the driver of the pickup was trying to pass another vehicle when he went off the road and struck the teen.
The driver, a 24-year-old, is reportedly facing charges in connection with the incident, but the GSP has not released the name of the driver or the victim.
