Orange barrels mean work about to start on 144, power lines

Those orange barrels you’re seeing alongside Highway 144 east of Richmond Hill are the start of prep work to widen the heavily traveled South Bryan road. 

They’re also the prelude to the burying of power lines belonging to Coastal Electric.

This means work could begin on both in a matter of weeks, according to county officials.
