Two enlist in Navy

Richard J. Boatright, son of Edward Boatright, of Ellabell and Marla A. Crooms of Bloomingdale, recently enlisted in the U.S. Navy under the Delayed Entry Program at Navy Recruiting District in Jacksonville.
The program allows recruits to enter the Navy and take up to one year to complete prior commitments such as high school. Boatright will report for active duty to undergo basic training at the Navy’s Recruit Training Center in Great Lakes, Ill.
Boatright  is  completing his senior year at South Effingham High School.

Nessmith enlists in Navy
Shelby D. Nessmith, a 2012 graduate of Richmond Hill High School, recently enlisted in the United States Navy under the Delayed Entry Program at Navy Recruiting District in Jacksonville.
The program allows recruits to enter the Navy and take up to one year to complete prior commitments such as high school. Nessmith will report for active duty to undergo basic training at the Navy’s Recruit Training Center in Great Lakes, Ill.
