Winter weather headed our way
Snow

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for coastal Georgia Wednesday.

Up to two inches of snow could fall on South Bryan Wednesday morning, and up to an inch in North Bryan. Sleet and freezing rain are also possible.

Temperatures are expected to fall to the mid 20s overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, with a high on Wednesday expected to be 39 degrees at 4 p.m.

Public health department offices in Bryan, Camden, Chatham, Effingham, Glynn, Liberty, Long and McIntosh counties will be closed Wednesday and will reopen at 1 p.m. Thursday.

Bryan County and the city of Richmond Hill are also closed Wednesday.

Although Bryan County Schools is still on holiday break, all extracurricular activities districtwide are cancelled Wednesday.
