Tropical Storm Julia: Here we go again?
Julia

Just two weeks after preparing for Tropical Storm Hermine, Bryan County is under a wind advisory and flash flood watch. Up to six inches of rain is expected in parts of Coastal Georgia through Friday with wind gusts up to 45 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

The storm was centered 10 miles west of Brunswick Wednesday morning and moving north at 7 mph. Light outdoor items such as trash bins and patio furniture should be secured.

Mickey Bayens, Richmond Hill athletic director, said he would make an announcement Thursday afternoon as to the homecoming parade and powder puff football game.

As of 9:30 a.m., neither Coastal Electric Cooperative nor Georgia Power were reporting any customers in Bryan County without service.

Bryan County News will post updates as more information is available.
