Fort Stewart Forestry Branch plans three large controlled burns today Friday:

1. 470 acres three miles west of cantonment area and four miles southwest of Lawson fire tower. Flames should not be visible from any highways that cross post.

2. 2,911 acres 10 miles northwest of cantonment and three miles northeast of Taylor Creek fire tower. Flames should not be visible from any highways.

3. 1,793 acres 17 miles northwest of cantonment area and 8 miles northwest of Taylor Creek fire tower. Flames should not be visible from any highways.

Winds are forecast to be blowing from the southeast at 6-10 mph.
