Scholar named district's teacher of the year

Chris Scholar, a teacher at Richmond Hill High School, was named this year’s Bryan County District-Wide Teacher of the Year during the Board of Education meeting Thursday at Bryan County High School.

Scholar was one of nine teachers up for the district award. Each candidate was named the Teacher of the Year for their school.

Other candidates were Erin Warren, Lanier Primary; Devon Morrison, Bryan County Elementary; Gina Campbell, Bryan County Middle; Joe Holloway, BCHS; Renna Dasher, Richmond Hill Primary; Stephanie Kerns, Richmond Hill Elementary; Kellie Smith, George Washington Carver; and Alisha Bowden, Richmond Hill Middle.
