Southern rock pioneer Gregg Allman, who had made his home in Richmond Hill in recent years, has died.
A statement on the rocker’s website announced that he died at his home. No cause was listed. He was 69.
The Tennessee native lived in Macon in the late 1960s and early 1970s when he and his brother Duane formed the Allman Brothers Band.
Gregg Allman started a solo career in about 1973, after his brother and another band member were killed in motorcycle wrecks.
