The Richmond Hill Police Department apparently has been responding to a lot of calls regarding vehicle break-ins during the night, according to a press release from the department.

So the RHPD is reminding residents of the steps they can take to help prevent such crimes.

"Please secure your vehicle and remove all personal items on a daily basis," the release said. "Don't tempt suspects by leaving anything personal in plain view, or by leaving the vehicle unlocked."
